The Hoppin John is simmering in the Crock Pot and the shiny dime is ready to drop in the pot for a lucky person tonight.
Last night I stayed home and worked on gathering the paper work for taxes, ugh!! One thing that stood out for me in analyzing my expenses was that my shipping charges via,UPS,Fed EX and USPS was not bad. I have offered free shipping for my art since 2009 and I still think it's a good idea. I don't have an international market for shipping. All of my international sales go to people who are carrying paintings with them overseas.When I consider that free shipping is a bonus for my collectors and that they are much more likely to purchase without extra fees, it is worth it for me to absorb that cost. It also gives me the idea that I need to make that part of my publicity material and take advantage of my largess to clients.
