Notes From the Loft Studio
Today was the first day I could use my new toaster oven. I baked three cookies for the gallery staff downstairs. It worked perfectly and it made the whole building smell wonderful. I'm so pleased. I hope to entice more people upstairs to get fresh hot cookies. I found that Nestles Toll House brand has the little squares of cookie dough ready to bake and they have several varieties. Today I baked white chocolate chip. The gallery staff said they were very good. I bought 2 different flavors for this week. I need to buy a 7x9 inch baking pan. That will fit perfectly in the oven. I want to make a couple of quiches and bring them in to warm in the oven. That will be an excellent snack for friends. Also want to make up some good hot dips to bring in to serve. My studio is the best. I have a Keurig machine, a toaster oven and a fridge, and I have Henry on Wednesdays. Top That!!!
I sent out a round of over sized post cards yesterday promoting my layaway program. I will send out an invite post card for my Food Art Party in January next week and I sent out the HTML version yesterday. I am stepping up my postal mail campaign this year. I ordered cards to promote my Art Lover Parties and will send those out in February. I intend to send out a direct mail letter or post card at least once a month in 2012. I am stepping up my loft events as well. A very busy year ahead, but more focused on the loft instead of paint outs. I will be phasing them out gradually, replacing them with residencies around FL and the south HERE
